Apart from the telescopic walking poles what do you use for poles for your tarp (assuming no treeses to tie to). Are there any telescopic tent poles around, something more specific than telescopic walking poles, and cheap!

Not an expert on bivi's, but there must be a market for a pump that doubles as a bivi poll. You have to carry a pump anyway, why not mod it to make it biviable. Job done.

Their website is down at the moment but I remember buying telscoping bivi poles from them some years ago. Probably around a foot long, maybe slightly longer, and telescoping out to double the length.
I would imagine they still sell them as Dartmoor hasn't sprouted swathes of forest since I bought mine. Also the large community of like minded individuals located around Plymouth that spends nights out on the moor is still there.
Make sure you spray them with matte black paint though to keep the shine down.
