Last cordless one was nice & cheap and lasted 3 years, almost to the day

Do I get one of these again or is there some decent technology in the UK these days to let my mobile run from the landline ? (wouldn't mind keeping the existing number "live" too, but fancy not needing it most of the time)

(my outlaws in the US have been using their mobiles like this for years so something must exist - they're on cable though and I'm not, FWIW)

Didn't BT have something like this years ago? Your mobile worked through your landline when you were at home, but turned into a mobile when you left the house. But it was universally pants, and didn't work at all well.

If we had one of those, I think it would mean that Mrs LC would be on MY mobile constantly !! ?? ๐Ÿ™
