Trying to use metamatrix on a Sun server to connect via the Metamatrix JDBC to a DB2 server. It all works fine from a Windows machine which suggests the problem in the Sun to DB2 connectivity.

The error is Transliteration Table 1252.t not found

This relates to languages and locales. I am in Switzerland so we have lots of languages to choose from. We have changed the Environment variables on the Sun server so LC_DEFAULT, LC_ALL and LANG all are set to en_us.UTP8

Any ideas what we need to set at the DB2 end so they can talk to each other? We currently don't even know the questions to ask so any help appreciated.

Cheers

Nick, try giving Kirsty a shout. Her email address sorta gives the game away as to why I think she could help -

🙂

If she doesn't know she might know a techie that does. Worth a shot.

EDIT - Just mailed her a link to this thread too

Thanks PP
