Recently installed a full set of energy-saving spotlights in my kitchen, having had one of the normal bulbs die. Within the space of 4 hours two of the 3 bulbs have gone pop and I have no box for them (put in bin, food remnants on top). I have the receipt. Will I have problems? It's only a fiver but on principle I find their poor quality bulbage quite annoying.

If you have your receipt you should be fine for an exchange for a year min.

For a refund I say min of month but 4hrs? you could easily get your money back.

I wouldn't worry and if they give you trouble-speak to manager or supervisor or even trading standards but doubt it will get to that.

Just smile, explain and take your choice of exchange or refund.

they'll exchange stuff under virtually any circumstances in my experience.

Act middleclass, it'll throw them off their stride. 😉

No need for packaging if it's faulty IMO. They won't give you any bother.

Are you smugly patting your rear jeans pocket now eh ❓

🙂 Good good, will do then! Never sure how they're going to take the whole lack of packaging thing - hence the thought out loud here!

i once worked for them, they will let you have anything if you throw a paddy and cry like a girl.

they make billions and dont care about a few quid to appease people who are upset

lol, well im not sure I could muster tears over a bulb, I could raise my voice and be all English middle class fairly easily though, but in Glasgow that may well get me murdered outside in the car park 🙂

Ha, I my dad is great at this, he took back a pair of jeans "he didn't like them" after a year of purchase, they gave him a full refund. ASDA are second to non for no questions asked.
