Hotmail appears to be changing its name to Outlook and it appears a pain to sync multiple calendars on android phones. Thinking about making the change to Gmail. Is Gmail better and has anybody had any issues in switching or is there a better option.

Define "better". I use both for different things. For multiple calendars across various Android devices, iDevices and Outlook, Google's about the best I've found.

Switched from hotmail ages ago. Asked for advice on here and gmail was recommended.
Been on gmail ever since with no issues.
