For a very mixed-ability/enthusiasm group, ideally somewhere very comfortable with a hot tub and space for 8 people. It'd be nice to have some biking in the vicinity but nothing beyond fairly friendly trails. Last week in August this year.

Ideally a variety of activities on offer nearby to keep them all occupied too. Open to all sorts of suggestions...I'm just not sure where I should be directing my internet!

Morzine is our go to. Loads of other activities (Hiking, ice skating, rafting, via ferrata, pony rides, swimming). There is world class MTBing there but plenty of easy stuff too and the extensive lift network takes a big chunk of the pedalling out which really helps the beginners. Plenty of chalets at a reasonable rate in the summer. Some with hot tubs. At this late stage you'll need to do some emailing and see whats left. Also look on ownersdirect, chaletsdirect, morznet and about a million other sites. We tend to fire off a load of cut'n'paste emails and see what comes back

If you are willing to pay a little extra for luxury you should find it as summer season is so quiet and a lot of guests want cheap and cheerful.

Morzine or Les Gets is a good bet. Variety activities, marked trails and some "enduro" off piste to explore (various recent threads, eg morzine for the non downhiller). Lunch spots non-riders can join at. 1hr drive to Yvoire on Lake Geneva, Annecy etc for day trips.
