This place is a great cross section of the middle aged, British, white, male population with some exceptions. There are some proper, full-on nobbers but on the whole, it's a pleasant place to visit in the way my local pub is.

Sometimes challenging, often a source of new information and ideas... Needs moar beer though.

I think that Jambalaya's above butt hurt comes from the fact that in the 'real world' people don't challenge odd but mainstream views because 'manners', but here daft opinions presented as facts get the treatment they deserve. Some of the best thread topics have been 'controversial' recently, yet almost everyone managed to keep discussions civil, refrain from ad homs and generally present opposing views in an entertaining and mature fashion. STW; you've grown up a bit; well done!
Modding is just right imho. (Except for that Cougar bloke; he's a knob )

True, newbies to BM were generally greeted by one regular with the word that preceeds ...the magic dragon whilst another welcomed them with various bodily fluids. It was at that point that I realised the place was doomed unless something was done, and it wasn't.

While banned I read the forum a bit and it became obvious how ludicrous the arguathons were given the bit of distance I had from them. Also I was upset that I had annoyed a bunch of folk - no one likes to be seen in a negative light do they? Finally its obvious that my continued presence on here is beholden on behaving well as rightly I will be on a shoogly peg.

Overall I think this place is better than it used to be - less unpleasant trolls and more tight moderation of those who set out to upset folk
