We will be in touch
This place seems to be jam packed with IT professionals and tech-savvy types, so could anyone tell me how I can stop the time from being displayed at the top of sheets of paper when I print off Word documents that I've been working on using Office for Mac (2008).
It's driving me nuts! I realise this is probably the IT equivalent to asking how to put a bicycle chain back on, but I just can't work it out.
Thanks.
Not got word open at the moment BUT if its the same as Excel then
- Go to Print Preview
- Click on Set up at the top
- Look on header/footer tab and ammend as necessary
Hope this helps, Mart
Do you have a auto header that updates with the current time?
Is there a greyed out time at the top of the page when in normal view....?
If there is, you should be able to double click on the top of the page, near the offending time and delete it....?
Or go to INSERT>HEADER>EDIT HEADER
If it's not that, then sorry I don't know.....
Thanks both of you, managed to correct the situation with a combination of both of your posts.
I shouldn't be trusted with anything more advanced than an Etch-a-Sketch!

That'd be why they gave you a mac, I suppose 🙂
