The eldest trumpet is off to uni in a couple of weeks and has uni accommodation sorted, this includes basic contents insurance but does not cover things like laptops, cameras, phones etc. he has just had a quote from them to extend his cover and it is more than my home and contents. As yet I have not done any research but has anyone bought contents insurance for their son/daughter at uni and if so any pointers to good deals? Will start with my current home and contents to see what,if any, cover that provides while he is at uni but wondering if there is a go to student insurance.
If they reside at your home OP out of terms time, often your home insurance has automatic cover for students away and if not, can have it added. Check your policy documents.
