I have some auto paint to remove from a car window with thinners
Whats the best way to do this?
1, whats the best cloth to use? paper towels, old socks, pillowcases?
2, how do I do it without freezing my fingers? wear gloves inside thick rubber gloves?
3, do i brush some on, then leave it a bit, or just soak a rag and rub it in?

Ordinary thin disposable nitrile gloves, kitchen towel, thinners. Pour some thinners onto the towel, apply to window, rub.
You’re really over-thinking it, the only thing to avoid is getting any thinners onto the car bodywork, best thing is to just tape a bin-bag over the area under the window with masking tape.

If the paint is dry and cured I'd suggest using (carefully) a window scraper - the kind decorators use, you can buy them in b&q, etc and then buff the area with a rag with thinners. If the paint is still fresh then lightly rub using a rag dipped in thinners. Keep it tidy by using enough rags to mop up any mess but thinners should not affect cured paint on the car body, it is the solvent base for auto paint and is not actually a paint stripper.
