Anyone use those paper log maker things?

I was thinking of giving them a try.

Plenty of newspapers on the train so plenty of material.

How hot do they burn? Is it worth the time and effort?

Newspapers might be OK but dont use old magazine

I rolled up a couple of holiday mags last night and tried to burn them
burnt ok but the amount of debris left was stupid

I use a couple of them to form the sides of my "kindling bridge" when lighting. They smoulder for a couple of hours without giving off much flame.

Nobody mentioned using them for starting. I doubt they would work for that as they are too dense.

I know what the op means - waste of time trying to make them into a fuel brick

only decent use for newspaper (where each sheet has been separated and scrunched up) is to start a fire

clear enough?

I'm just imagining the OP each evening with a dustbin bag walking down the train collecting all the old Evening Standards...
