Just watching the 5000m on BBC2, a guy falls over, his shoe comes off, he takes about 30 seconds to force it back on without undoing his laces.
Why the hell didn't he undo his laces and tie them back up again, it'd been way quicker, duh!!

Initial action of stuffing it in tightens the laces, looks like its going to work, 5 second gone, realises its going to take scissors to undo laces so continues on rather than stoppign and using teeth? 😀

agree for my license fee i'd expect to see athletes that know how to tie shoe laces! - now where's my Daily Mail gone
