I stand corrected.

But Meekatharra?!? You nutter! Not for all the tea in China....

And I've worked in Clitheroe so I think we do.

Ah, you mean 'cold and miserable', rather than 'hot', then? Good whisky shop there mind you ๐Ÿ™‚

It's a funny old thing this love hate indifference to it weather.

I hate it because its physically unpleasant. Yet others find it very different. The quirks of physiology and all that guff.

We're off for a weeks camping on the Isle of Wight week after next.

I fully expect the monsoon season to start as we drive onto the ferry.

Normally it's the other way around, but here in India it's quite cool and wet at the moment!

Racing IronMan Zurich on 28th though, I'm sure there will be a contrast in the weather ๐Ÿ™‚

Cheers, Rich

I like the feeling of fresh air around my gentlemans sausage, but I look like the clapper in bell if my skirt is too short!

It's also nice to know that I have scared you mentally with that image ๐Ÿ˜€

The temperature numbers don't tell the whole story. My wife comes from a place where you can rely on long spells above 30 degrees and there's a high chance of long spells in the mid 30s. She's been here since 2004 and this is her first decent UK sunny spell(!) she is very surprised how hot it feels when it's a mere 27C. It's pretty humid in the UK. Ok so it's nothing like Malaysia or wherever, but much more so than the middle of a big continent.

I can't even go to the pub at lunchtime for a leisurely lager top without drowning in my own sweat. too hot and dirty in the city. I have to ride home with two bikes tonight and then I'm going to circuits - lots of fluids required.

I'm changing shirts mid-way through the day sometimes. Anyone else doing this? Or having a morning shower and a mid-day one, cool?

One of the girls I work with just went into melt down ๐Ÿ˜ฏ I think she is going home to lie in a dark room. Wow that was quite a performance.

I think the sun makes the damn horseflies even slower, didnt get chomped this morning even though I was enveloped by the hateful things.

just got back from a week in Barcelona where the daytime temps are similar or a little higher than the u.k. but it feels a lot cooler here, the big difference is the humidity and night time temps. over there the humidity goes up in the late evening and being near the sea makes it worse. it's a lot cooler in the evenings even in a big city like London
i haven't seen people crossing the street to walk in the shade here either.
they have also banned men from walking around topless in the city too, something they should do here in the U.K. imho

Bugger off! Don't come over here, the trails are rubbish, all fast dry and dusty, no mud, you won't like it. It was a total slogfest this morning, dont know why I bothered. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Oh and if it does rain because of you I WILL find you and I WILL kill you. ๐Ÿ˜†

Hot here too - 32C apparently, with "real feel" of 37. Thank fudge for aircon.

On the plus side, I'm sweating so much that I've lost about 10lbs today alone.
