Is 5 too young to watch star wars (the original ones) - he is desperate to see it

I saw it at a friend's seventh birthday, I guess I was six at the time... so no, it'll be fine.

i was 5 when i went to see it at the pics when it came out.
not done me any damage. apart from wanting to watch it again every week since.

5 is fine for the original ones.

Revenge of the Sith is a bit gory at the end (where Anakin gets his legs chopped off).

You could wait for the 3d versions that good ole George will fiddle with again to make more money from all the geeks....

The original trilogy was classified as U IIRC..

Yeah no probs! First film I ever saw in a cinema. I was five years old, and it was the best thing in the World, ever. 😀

In 1982, our headmistress showed us Empire Strikes Back on the last day of term in the infant school hall on a ciné projector, tauntaun guts, han solo torture, Luke hand amputation and all. I was 5 and it was grrrreeeeeeat!
