We will be in touch
I have my SB touch connected to an Audiolab 8000A via analogue connection.Source is a Readynas Duo V2 running logitech media server (beta version as logitech haven't got round to writing the proper software yet!)Files are on the NAS as FLAC ripped with EAC.NAS streams wirelessly to the SB.The volume on the Amp is set to approx 1/2 way-way louder than for CD but the volume on the SB needs to be around 3/4 to get reasonable volume-does anyone else have to use this high volume setting or am I losing volume somewhere?
I've needed to have the volume on my Squeezebox Touch almost at max to get the same results as the TV/Bluray/Other stuff out of my amp, leaving that on the same volume setting.
So, no, not just you.
Me too, I need to up the volume on my amp considerably when using the SB as the source.
Agreed, mine is similar using a Rega Brio amp.
Was worried you were going to say tehre's a problem using the ReadyNAS DuoV12 - glad not, as i've just set mine up!
Jeesus, I never thought accordions were so complicated.
I assumed th V2 would be an improved version of the V1 but it's a completely different animal, aimed more at the home user rather than small office etc. I bought Readynas because it's the only one logitech support, so imagine my surprise when I realised that all their gubbins on their website about setting up media server was total tosh. Had to get a beta version of software from the slimdevices website. Seems to work ok apart from the SB asking to update the already up to date firmware pretty often-.
100% volume on the Touch should be 'line level' or there abouts. Unless for convienience (i.e. no amp remote) for best sound quality the volume of the Touch should always be 100%, with actual volume controlled by the amp. That was always the advise from the hifi mags anyway.
Aye the V2 is a different processor & architecture, caught me out too as I didn't realise. There aren't many add-ons available yet. 🙁
