Have to lol at the reviews sometimes:

"First, in a fluid tactical situation, I would not recommend a square beam because it forces you to focus within the beam. You literally can not see outside the box because the lines are so bright and crisp. I took my surefire defender and went back and forth between lights. While the Bushnell was brighter, someone could be standing a few feet outside the beam and you would not see them. With the round light, you have some peripheral vision, with the Bushnell you get tunnel vision- distracting and dangerous in my opinion."

He's got one of those Tactical Pens in his wishlist  So he can tactically write notes on the fridge while tactically lit up with his tactical torch.

He has a point though. I recently bought a couple of those zoomable-beam Aldi torches (but got them on eBay for half the price). The beam really is stupidly well defined - it looks like the head of Optimus Prime. Not really useable until you zoom the head back to wide angle, at which point you might as well buy an Asda special.

Looks good Trout and I think it would still be possible to the trail zombies and badgers before they attack.

A mate of mine runs 3 of these on his bars and one on his helmet, does the job quite well!

Like round beam, with a focused centre. Got one of these en route from HK currently after an ebay seller accepted my very low offer....
