Should it have gone Modic's way?

Edit: Watching Yahoo matchcast not actual game 🙁

If he hadn't got the ball marginally before the collision, geezer would've walked

Lee dixon on R5 thought it was a booking at minimum, despite contact with the ball. Lee Dixon ?! 😯

Spurs haven't had a lot of luck lately with the penalty decisions.

3-3. Arsenal look like they're imploding, as usual.

Didnt see this thread before I started another one. Best game I've seen not involving Liverpool for a long time. I switched over to el Classico at half time and it was dull dull dull by comparison.

It's easy to see why the EPL has conquered the globe.

Well there you have it. Title probbly Man U's now. Arse have once again shown that when it's time to really perform, they bottle it. CL games with Barça emphasising this only too clearly. Arse just aren't in the same bracket, and never have bin. Another season potless for Wenger. Fabregas must surely by now have had enough, and be wanting away, as will a number of key players. With Man City and Spuds gaining ground, and Liverpool sure to figure again next season, is Arsey Whinger's time up now? Without some serious investment in players, Arse could easily slip down the table, into mid-table mediocrity. Wenger is one of the best managers around, and brilliant at nurturing young talent, but without some proper World class players who can hold their nerve when the pressure is on, Arse will continue to entertain, but ultimately achieve bugger all.

Rafa Benitez was more successful than Wenger in the last 6 years...

behave yerself, fred ! (I think "he"'s been banned again anway hasn't he ?)

speaking as an impartial observer, Arsenal has consistently produced the best footy of any PL team over the last maybe even ten years (occasional exception being Chelsea)

I would pay to see them several times before I did so for any other team (haven't mind)

Arsy has done it on a (comparative) shoestring, whilst they kept the club out of the hands of "investors" and built a stadium

As role models, he, his football and his club are head & shoulders above their rivals

Highbury's 'up north' for Fred, not proper London 😉

Yeah but they haven't won owt for ages now. All that pretty football, while Chelsea were winning boring one-nillers. And Arse have repeatedly failed to live up to expectation on the Yerpean stage.

Sadly, money rules in today's football. That's the way it is. Arsenal, by failing to really establish themselves as a truly dominant force, have proven this.

Surely you love them cos they're from Lundun, innit?

No my football allegiances are familial; Mum's family were from Merseyside and that, so Liverpool was the 'family team'.

Don't be such a Silly Billy; Highbury is well within the boundaries of the M25. Buy an AtoZ. 🙄

Queen could easily live another 15, 20 years or more, if her mum (Gawd bless 'er) was anything to go by! 😯

That's all well and good playing swish football. But it's done nowt for them in the last 6 years. At some point they have to learn to win dirty, grind out a win etc etc. Wenger keeps going on about being unbeaten in 15 games, but they have drawn the last 5 out of 6 games. Had plenty opportunities to get all the points and promptly threw it away.

Style, yes, its great to watch. But no way head and shoulders above the rest. What's it won for them? **** all.

I wonder what the fans would rather have, pretty football or trophies.

It'll be trophies every time.

This season was the best chance they'd have had for a while, and now it's gone. Be interesting to see what the fallout will be because wenger can no longer fall back on the same old argument anymore.

Good attacking, but not necessarily pretty, football AND trophies, it's possible you know.

Yeah, of course in terms of buying best players etc. Not success breeding succes but earnings breeding success. However, I would pay way more to watch a sky broadcast of the arse (even spurs) than I would manu or chelsea and I suspect many other impartials would too. If it really came down to pay per view, arse might (eventually) have the greater earning power.

What's it won for them? **** all.
Winning stuff's all very well but only 3 or 4 teams are in with a proper chance. Majority of teams' fans just like to see a good game. Mid-table mediocrity is something I used to aspire to, when I cared about the boro. Best season I ever had as a supporter, they lost 2 cup finals and got relegated

Though you're right - I reckon just buy 2 decent defenders and Asenal might've won this year's PL
