Going in September and want to do some riding, anybody been and any recommendations, road or mtb?
Going to be in the area of Portimao/ferragudo.
Have a look for Jim at teh Mountain Bike Adventure Company, Lagos. Think he does Uplifts. We went with him for a week mtb, it was lovely. Also Monchique volcano has some downhil stuff too.

The Serras do Monchique region is really beautiful - nice little microclimate, cooler than the coast, which was boiling when I was there, and some great riding through cork oak plantations
Can't remember the name of company I did a day's riding with a few years ago though. They were Portuguese and based in Monchique.
A mate goes for three weeks to Carvoeiro each summer and does a load of road riding, other than it being hot he says the roads are fantastic.
