I have an exam on Wednesday and need to use the next couple of days to study. Any suggestions for somewhere quiet in Edinburgh?

It's in Scotlandshire isn't it. Try a veg shop.

A library, preferably one that doesn't have any community outreach section with Playstations.

Try the libraries at either Heriot Watt or one of the Napier Unis. HW certainly has effectively open access, nobody will bother you on the way in. I studied there and have used it for bits and pieces since.

Given this weather it'll need to be inside.

Like I said, one of the ones without the play area. Try Corstorphine or perhaps Currie. What about Central Library on George IV Bridge?

Central Library might be a winner.
