I read this and thought I'd share 😉

If it's true they should sack the guy*.

This is the attitude some teachers seem to have right down as far as primary school. My eldest son (nearly 7) is a high achiever at school ,his first 2 years the teachers seemed uninterested in the fact that he was quite intelligent stating that 'we have to follow the curriculum set down by the education authorities'.
His present teacher has recognised that he feels held back and is doing everything she can to get him the right learning materials for his ability.

Can't say I've ever seen this attitude.

Most schools have a 'gifted and talented' register and are keen to get pupils on it. I assume this helps when they get assessed.

I've certainly never felt any of our kids were held back.
