My day consisted of cycling the Trans Pennine Trail from St Helen's to Southport, cafe stop on the way, then fish'n'chips at Southport. I had to recce the route for a ride I'll be leading in a couple of weeks time - it's tough work, but someone had to do it 😀

That's a heck of a lot better than mine.

Never got going today. Not in the mood for it. Looking forward to the w/end though; wicked ride lined up follow by a chill before 3 weekends of visiting family mayhem.

In what way does St Helens to Southport involve Trans Pennine? But I guess anything that takes you away from St Helens is a good thing 😆

Actually, I would be interested in the route if you have a map handy or can point me in the right direction. Up in St Helens every now and again visiting my Dad.

Actually did some work today! Spent the week catching up on email and work after two weeks on which has only been hindered by my research on lights for the winter! Obviously not quite as good as yours...

Stayed at a 5* hotel in Rome. Taxi ride back to the airport via the Collesium, Forum, Palatine etc. Upgraded on the flight back and got in early to watch the school sports day. Fab day - it doesn't often work like that!

Me: it's my birthday today, so my colleague baked a batch of cupcakes. The golf clubs I ordered yesterday arrived today and I got told that I've been given a promotion.

I can't help thinking that something's about to go horribly wrong...

Started work at 12. Had 40 mins of work lined up for a 7 hour day. Spent the rest of the day helping my mate modify his cassette into a 4 speed for his DH bike. Cleaned my own bike for the rest of the day. Oh, surfed the net a lot too.

I was asked to 'jump on a plane to Rio', whilst waiting to hear if I've signed up the best client I could ever imagine having. While this was happening I met Mrs iDave for a coffee, went for a run, became involved in a feud, and drank some wine.

Been on the Tom and dick for three months. Had a brain seizure and work won't let me back until I've had the results back from my scans. The wheels of the NHS turn very slow.

Lafy G you forgot the goecaching and the beer when we got back to Manchester!

Junkyard, email me I have lots of similar routes as I've been planning and riding them all summer. Some that would be brilliant for young people.

Me and one of the IT guys clubbed together for an expresso/cappucino machine. Had fun making some 'perky' coffee, which was a welcomed break from Audit Commission queries.

Not a bad machine for the money: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Delonghi-EC152-Espresso-Coffee-Machine/dp/B003U2SLI8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1316851060&sr=8-2

Was £53 when we ordered it a week ago.
