Loved the trailer, hated the film.
We just watched the Harley Quinn Birds of Prey thing. Suicide Squad was actually better. Judging by the quality of the (many) fight scenes, it was aimed at 10 year olds. Why, when your film is aimed at 10 year olds, do you fill it with the "muddyfunster" word? Bizarre.
Yep, the new Hell Boy was shite. Watched it the other week and not a patch on the Ron Pearlman version.
What?! Moon is brilliant IMHO.
Terminator Genisys was a steaming turd
Well what can I say...
1st off im a big hellboy fan, I have every single hellboy/bprd & expanded universe graphic novel , I'm only missing one lobster Johnson & a couple of the latest bprd & Edward greys & 1 short story (collecting these has taken me a while & some of them go for silly money paperback of this I've seen for £400!....

(I'm waiting for that one to come up cheap, just missed out on a £15 copy from Germany, thanks to covid!)
Anyway , hmmmm hellboy wasn't as bad as I feared in some ways, it stayed pretty true to the story arc - was great to see that, but missed some key parts & all I could think was how great it could have been if deltorro had done it, such a waste, especially as supporting cast are all great in other things & they really stunk in this, Harbour was good, but he stood out coz everyone else just sucked so much.
Ultimately was deeply frustrating that deltorro/perlman never did it, could have been sooo good
To add on the other hellboy versions were a lot less true to the comics, but that makes total sense coz they tried to cram far to much into the new movie, what a waste
There are a couple of hellboy animated movies , sword of storms & blood & steel that are better.
I've just wasted an hour watching some of Extraction, just arrived on Netflix. It's just plain tedious, even less engaging than John Wick 3 while taking itself way too seriously.
We can add the latest Star Wars to the list. Finally watched it last night. It was so bad that when Luke Skywaker first appears I actually laughed with derision. How can so much money have been spent producing such a mediocre film?
I'm currently watching Mission Impossible: FFSAreTheyStillChurningTheseOut? (aka Fallout).
They've all been nonsense, but at least the first couple had novelty value. This just seems to be a collection of clips from the previous movies. Same gags, same disguises, same lack of laws of physics... (And yes, I know, what did I expect etc. etc.)
We can add the latest Star Wars to the list
I'm gonna disagree, sort of. Watched it last night, the previous effort was so bad my expectations were set at rock bottom. I was pleasantly surprised it was what i'd describe as a 'one watch' enough to entertain for a couple of hours

it is a bit silly, if you can bring that much firepower to bear as a drug lord and the other boss basically only had one guy.
Last Christmas.
Directorial debut from Emma Thompson (who i like). Semi good idea ruined by a shockingly bad plotline and all over the place directing. Plus the overall Wham theme running through it and too many "cut n paste" scenes stolen from Richard Curtis films. Truly dreadful.
