Following on from the cold war planes thread, I bring you the Scramjet...

Forget bombers (stealth or otherwise), the future of nuclear weapon delivery will be unmanned, and capable of speeds in excess of Mach 10 or more. That is to say it would be capable of delivering a nuclear payload within an hour of launch, to anywhere in the world!

Oh, and DO believe the hype. We're seeing unmanned reconnaissance planes in use already, the technology is taking a while to perfect in Scramjets (and will take some time yet I should think), but they will happen.

Hydrogen produced from electricty derived from renewable sources (Solar, wind, hydro) and stored in a big tank for later use in a domestic power plant or car.
