It stops people writing one thing, getting replies, then changing it to something totally different later on so the replies have a completely different meaning, or make no sense at all.

60 minutes would be nice. But the ability not to be able edit after a time is quite good and makes sense.

It would be nice if it were zero minutes because some members use those 15 minutes as Rich suggests to provoke and hopefully one assumes get their adversary banned for the reply.
