Have had an older Mac (running MacOS x 10.6.8) for a few years and recently Skype stopped working, you seem to need the latest version to get access, which wont run on anything older than MacOS X 10.9.
I've tried a few older versions of Skype available online (Skype 6.15), but no luck. Other versions are 'unable to connect'. Any ideas? Or should I resign myself to Skype-ing on the tiny phone screen for now?
Cheers!
you can edit the OS to report a different version so the application will attempt to run.

you can also edit the resources in the app/contents to the same effect changing the text which specifies a minimum version this is probably a sefer way to do it
neither will work if the app reies on components that are only in the later OS but in my experience it usually works
Upgrade the Mac OSX ? My 2009 Mini I always kept up to date, Sierra was forst OSX it would not take. You will need 4gb ram min mind for anything recent
