Just wondered if anyone has managed to get the new Sky Mail, which uses G Mail, to work in either Outlook or Thunderbird. Ive used all the setting recomended on the Skyuser forum and just cant seem to get it to work. I always get the message that the username and password are not accepted although it is the same as what I use to log into the Sky Mail website. Im not that technically minded but have managed in the past to sort this sort of stuff out.
Ive googled the problem and it seems it works for some and not for others. Any help would be appreciated before I have to spend hours calling the Sky helpline.
I've got it working, although O had to set up a second account as it didn't like the full stop in my "main" account name. gmail doesn't recognise full stops in usernames, I htink that might have something to do with it
I dont have a fullstop but a "-". Would that be the same problem..?
could be, don't know, not tried gmail with a dash.
