I did a couple of 'lads' trips there back in the early 2000's. Good fun but I remember the lifts were old/slow/prone to stopping when the wind whipped up.

Have things improved? Also got kids (8y) this time so is it any good as a intermediate resort?

Ta

Went two seasons ago. Lifts were fine. Will be fine for intermediates

The lifts might be ok but then it all goes downhill from there.

(sorry)

there was a huge investment in the area pre 2006 when they had the Olympics in the milky way ski area. That said I haven't skied there, but have skied linked resorts.

Been 3 times over the last 5/6 years - brilliant skiing (*well, boarding in our case) and always the place we end up comparing everywhere else to. We're all very much in the intermediate category and love the place - you'll have a grand time.

Lifts are no bother, even beginner snowboarders managed it so skiers will be fine.

Went 4 years ago. Great snow, loved skiing the linked resorts, not overly busy and lifts fine. Quite fancy it again myself.

Be sure to have pizza at the Orso Bianco and steak at The Village.
