Struggling to find a nice and cheap way of getting from Chambery to Val Thorens. I could always find a "man with van" to Chamonix with ease, but Val Thorens is proving a bit of a task.
any suggestions?

Think we paid £120 for a week last year, cheaper than a transfer if 2+ people.
For any transfers round the alps, I usually use the local coach services:

I've used them a few times. Tickets have turned up in the post quite quickly. Although the website has some 'quirks' shall we say. E.g. the search on the front page uses date in format MM/dd/yyyy despite the calendar date selector inserting the date as dd/MM/yyyy.
And tickets don't seem to go on sale til December

Never used them so couldn't comment on them being any good.
Although as FunkyDunc says, sometime cheaper just to hire a car depending on how many people are in your group.
