To summarise

big lady goes into underwear store, holds up some pants. Assistant asks if she is aware of sizing policy...shopper takes offence

Why is this news? (and to be fair why am I posting about it)

Because you are semi-consciously bothered by our society's descent into hypersensitivity, and tendency to misidentify our ontological reality with superficial traits. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I clicked on the link, guess what happened next.

Imagine what could have happened if someone who can't differentiate between news and click bait had also followed the link.

You do realise that "Indy100" runs on the clickbait revenue moel i.e. post some outrageous story about someone being offended in the hope that people click on the story and generate revenue streams from advertisers for the Indy.

"Some poor Singletrack reader clicked on a clickbait link and YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT HAPPENED NEXT...."

Edit: MSP beat me to it ๐Ÿ˜†

Reading the company's response, good job they are trying to "reach out" rather than around.

Sorry but am I right in saying this story is about a fat woman having an interaction with a cheeky shop assistant?

Probably a shop assistant trying to be helpful, making sure the shopper found the right size for them.

Nobody compains about the "plus size" shops not supplying their products for skinny people.

Abbie Walsh-Greenfield got the ultimate revenge on a shop when she felt excluded for her size.

What did she do, sit on them?

Maybe they had to walk round to reach out.
