I'd rather feed my own nob through a mincing machine, while throwing salt and vinegar over it

Ultimately, that's where the evening would probably be heading

This is how I like to remember Simple Minds

Then after they got famous and Patsy Kensit arrived with a juggernaut load of cocaine and thirty years on we are left with:

So for that reason I'm out.

To be fair the 2012 vid sounds a fair bit better than some later 80s ones.

One of the funniest Simple Minds memories, where Queen absolutely blow everyone away at Wembley, and then it cuts to Simple Minds in the US and you can see Jim Kerr's eyes kind of saying "oh.... bugger"

Took the Mrs to see them a couple of years ago (she was keen and it got me some merit points).

They were pretty shocking. I certainly wouldn't bother, even if it was free

Simple Minds? With Hora?

Surely this golden opportunity should be offered as a prize somewhere! Maybe for Children in Need?

Maybe for Children in Need?

Seek out fourgoodmen or exsimpleminds. They are the other half of the band and sound more like the original line up.

I saw Simple Minds at Glastonbury in the '90s. They couldn't have cleared the field faster if they had dumped a truck load of tigers in it.
