Hi all,

Got a few forms I need to fill in to take to a job interview in the morning.

One of the questions is
"Have you ever been convicted or found guilty by a Court of any offence in any country (excluding parking but including all motoring offences even where a spot fine has been administered by the police)..."

I have 3 points on my license, I was pulled over by a cop and given a ticket on the spot. Did not go to court or anything. What would my answer to the above question be?

Ta, Duane.

tell the truth, but would hope theres a space to add brief comments to explain..
i cant think of a job that wouldnt employ you for having 3 points? (no doubt somebody will tell me, which is what im hoping for) would you get fired if you actualy got 3 points whilst emloyyed?

The answer is yes but for most jobs the as I understand it the question would be unlawful under the rehabilitation of offenders act. Is the job in the UK? Is it for the police, security service, mod or anywhere else where security clearance may be required? Spent offences can also be require to declare for work with vulnerable groups, possibly banking etc, but not sure fixed penalty motoring offences count.
