Looking to go to London to see a show of some sort for Mrs Poppa's birthday. What's good, and can I get cheap tickets anywhere? Mid-week, matinee not a problem.

Do not know about cheap tickets, but Jersey Boys (Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons)is one of the best shows I have seen.

There's an occasional offers around but generally most sellers aren't cheap. I saw phantom for first time a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it, I thought Oliver was slightly better but not sure if it's still on.

The booths around Leicester Square have cheap same day deals.

tkts booth in Leicester square.

they have a list of what's on sale today (also a website) and they are part of the London Theatre setup so the genuine thing.
went to see a Rat Pack tribute show few years back with 50% off which paid for the interval drinks!
