Lending a mate one of my tents, he's asked if he can remove the ground sheet - unfortunately not, when I asked him why, so he can shower in the tent...
I gave him a look, the look of 'your not showering inside my tent you insane bugger'
he seemed to think this was an entirely normal thing to do?!
Have I been doing this camping lark wrong all these years?
One of the best things about camping is that you are allowed to shower outside. Why wouldn't you!? Stayed in a few lodges in South Africa with outside showers, really cool. Not so practical here, I suppose. Can't imagine wanting to shower in a tent.
Buy a proper pop up shower tent.
Or use a khaki wind break and pretend your in mash
Not just you. That's mental.
Thanks for the reassurance.
I am now thinking, should I of lent him my tent! (it is a rather expensive Robens job)
Don't ask him to leave you a deposit 🙂
Some sites are only permitting "self-contained" campers due to Covid-19. Showering outside isn't self-contained. As above, plenty of pop-up shower/toilet tents available.
Nope, not just you. Tell him to get a hotel. They often have showers and also these newfangled indoor toilet things and get this, running water from taps.
Did you check what colour shower he is planning❓
Tell him no shitting in this shower.
Tell him no shitting in this shower
That’s an impressive wafflestomp.
