Thinking of putting up a playhouse for the kids in the garden that can be doubled up as a winter pot/furniture store.

Anyone got one? I need some inspiration.

£100 from B&Q. Put up in a few hours and then painted. Now fully furnished with Ikea kids furniture. My son loves it. Project for next summer is raise it up on a platform with steps up/slide down.

Think its the cheapest one they do. Had a look online at loads - B&Q, Wickes, Tesco Direct etc. Ignore the reviews - they're all written by incompetant morons who don't know one end of a screwdriver from another.

All flat packed so went in/on our Octavia estate. Pretty simple to build and was the cheapest out there I think.

Thanks. Tidy garden too so I can't take the piss.

Loving the big spike on the roof.

Think that was at the end of a massive dry spell during the summer. Was out watering the garden and then the heavens opened!

Built this one this summer for Stoners Jr. Based around a 3m slide off eBay for £100, 5' off the deck. There's a rope ladder to get in round the RHS. Two swings and a rope swing.

The swing set cost about £100 and the playhouse I designed and built myself with a £100ish of timber and I cut and eyeletted some tarp for a roof covering. It's based on a 8'+ 12" square gate post in the ground in postcrete. It was about 18" higher, but It was a bit imposing 🙂

Currently building one, but its going to cost about £400, its 6ftx5ft, and adults can stand up in it, actually its a bit like a garden shed, although raised off the ground, and its integrated into the swings.
I have the 8ft version of Stoners slide for sale for £30, needs collected from Edinburgh though.

pretty much exactly like mine. 6' cube, with the swing set bolted end on (so you can climb across from the doorway to the swing boom, when theyre a little older.

Is it wrong to build it big enough for you to sleep in? 😉
There's even a 6' bench on the LHS for lying down on ...

Can I just say, for the record like, that I hate Stoner, his house and all his DIY skills.

And McMoonter too.

Just leave the rest of us to our crappy little houses with postage stamp gardens will you please?

Mike, if you're stuck for stuff to do, I have a big eff off garden that could do with some TLC. You could build me a playhouse too if you like 😀

limestone, not tavertine.
Still a bastard 🙂

Had to flood grout it as it was very pope-like. Fortunately I had an old shower squeegee lying around so we did all the grouting in a day (1,500 sqft)
