Terrible events playing out here. People here are genuinely shocked. We’re a small nation in the middle of the pacific and terrorist attacks have always seemed like a long way away.
Regional flights out of ChCh are grounded tonight as there’s usually no security checks to get on turbo prop planes. I’d say things will change as a result of this.

The Oz Senator is only in office due to electoral law. He didn't win the election, rather he only got 19 votes but all the other politicians that won more votes than him had dual nationality and therefore forfeited the Senator roll due to Oz electoral law.
