Any ideas?
Farmers Weekly tested 'rugged' phones, article may be of some help.

the old Nokias were good not sure if there's a new one. i did manage to destroy both i had 5210 (total submerged for 10 minutes!) and 5100 (worked on a roof and dropped it, still ok. put wrong charger in it and it never worked again).
i would definitely get a 5100 for that old school cool!
having gone through 3 phones in 3 months
it was time to change and get a water/dust/shock proof one
.... slim, not bulky so it slides in your pocket easy, recommended!!
cost £80 sim free
.......
I have a Samsung M110, which is indestructible, CE rated dustproof etc, and has a little torch in it. It's also a terrible, terrible phone to use. My old 5100 did exactly the same job, far better, 7 years ago. Though it didn't have the samsung's appalling camera.
Unfortunately finding a decent 5100 is pretty hard now, the lifespan of nokias seems to be, well, less than 7 years- I replaced mine with a recon but it didn't last, and went out the exact same way as the old one- losing network for no good reason.
There is now an upgraded Samsung Solid Extreme which addresses all the problems with the old Solid M110. The original is a phone with bluetooth that makes calls sends texts and has a good loudspeaker on it and is indestructable, love mione to bits. I have a camera for taking pictures and my phone is for phone calls.
+1 for the Samsung M110, perfect biking phone. Not sure I could go back to it as my everyday phone tho.....
Am very happy with a Crackberry Curve in an Incipio shock cover, wrapped in a dry bag for riding. Tough as nails.
I've had a nokia 3720 since Christmas, and it's been fine so far - has been in an outside pocket of a rucksack and got pretty wet, and has been dropped a few times, but not showing any problems/dents. Only issue I have is that it's so much smaller & lighter than the old 5120 that I keep losing it in my pockets...
