What's it like? Schools, riding, living etc...?
Had some friends who lived there for many years they liked it (lifestyle, schools). Its an OK commute into London, great for channel tunnel and Gatwick. Kent is a little out of the way and some people like it that way.
Niice part of Kent that, was there last Sunday.
almost as boring as guildford
I'm from that area, can't comment on schools, my state school is no more, lots of posh schools. House prices are probably some of the highest in South East. Lots of riding, North Downs Way, Toys Hill, Croakham Hill, Weald of Kent, PORC in Penshurst, Bedgebury and not that far from Surrey Hills on M25. Some great country pubs, parks and stately homes and castles if that's your thing. It's got it's fair share of villains and gangsters too. Riverhead and Otford are nice too.
Yes it is quite boring.
I feel compelled to point out that Guildford is not boring having lived there for 20 years. I am tool old for all the night clubs and young-pubs but there are many, I liked the general feel of the town and its access to wonderful countryside and riding, 40 mins to either Gatwick or Heathrow, 35 mins into London by train. Sevenoaks has a similar feel and that's a good thing
Boring is good. I'm 41.
And a FOOL! ๐Boring is good. I'm 41.
@loddrik a very good friend of mine lived there for 10 years, had his kids there and they started school there. He commuted up to London every day. they only moved away (up near Cambridge) as he could get a bigger house and they had quite a few friends up there. They where an outdoor family, very active and they liked it very much. Its good for a trip to the coast too which they did often.
