OK, I'm a bit out of touch with mobile phones on account of I hate mine so much..... but anyway....
On a modern mobile that can take pictures, can you send the pictures to an email address?

depends on the phone and provider tbh but for the most part yes you can.
What trail rat says. Just type the e-mail address in the "To:" section and it should work. You may need to make sure you have MMS (multimedia message sending....or something like that) set up with your provider.
If you have a phone that has email capabilities, then it's easier than MMS, especially when MMS pics come out of your text allowance, tho' if you have 600 txts/month, then it's not an issue. I find it much simpler to email pics straight to Facebook or Flickr, especially as no-one I know really bothers with MMS anyway.
