I frequently have to send emails to a a group that I have set up in google contacts. This is straight forward on PC and on my android phone but i have not worked out how to do this on ipad. Mail is set up to sync with gmail and contacts are all there but I can't send out the a group. Anyone else experienced this?
I've always used groups setup in Apple contacts using the standard apple mail app. If you want to access groups setup on your gmail account I imagine those will only be visible to the gmail app (free download). Will have a look now ....
EDIT: I can see groups from apple email app but that may be as I've used them before so they are in the "history"
If you cannot access them in Apple email app then I suggest you go via safari and log in to google/mail as you would do from the pc/web portal and/or try the gmail app
