And unleash your Internet.
A Firefox window opened automatically this window asking for my e-mail address if I want Firefox on my phone, the URL looks legit. Has anyone done this?
I've been meaning to put Firefox on my phone, it's my favourite browser on the PC. Is this a good way of adding it or is it better to go through Google store? I detest Google store BTW.
Thoughts and experiences please, I also detest typing my e-mail address into anything.
It's free on the Google Store and installs.
Never bothered with any pop-up links as a matter of habit.
Many may be legit but by ignoring all of them I don't have to decide. A little like door to door sales, telesales and junk mail.
That sounds like phishing.
Install through Google play store, this (or the OEM equivalent app) is the only way to get apps on your phone without using developer tools.
If you have to ask....
Don't go there!
Just install from play store... What do you detest about play store?!
is the only way to get apps on your phone without using developer tools.
I did wonder how it was supposed to onto my phone. Ta.

ALWAYS have at least one other email address that you use for any junk potential sites.
I detest the random bills via my phone company. 😥
They closed my last two down through lack of use, cp, so I don't have one at present.
According to my HTC phone, support for their onboard browser is about to end. IE they're removing it. Ta for the heads-up 8)
If you need a junk e-mail address to sign up for something, use https://10minutemail.net/ or similar..
Is this not where it wants to sync your phone and your PC so you can start looking at something on the phone, stop half way and carry on where you left off on your PC?
Thanks, Joey. No Idea, hooli. The offer is as the thread title and the first line of my first post.
Firefox on Android is pretty good, its my main browser on my mobile.
Just get it from the google play store though.
Mailinator is the one to use for email that will likely cause spam.
Though 10 minute mail looks better now I've looked at it.
If you don't want to use Google Play Store, you can download Firefox for Android here. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/android/all/
Or you can get it from F-Droid (though that may not be the latest version). https://f-droid.org/
You will need to enable the option in your Android settings for "Allow installation of apps from unknown sources".
The "Send Firefox to your phone" thing will just email you a link to it on Google Play.
