I need an exterior security light as our drive is on the dark side. Can anyone recommend a good low powered one (being all green and that)?

If you get a PIR sensor one then the actual power usage will be low even with a 500W Halogen.

+1 for PIR. If it's just to illuminate your drive, 150w halogen will do.

just don't do what I did - install the PIR sensor just above the boiler's heat exchanger... Doh!

According to Yoda, "Fear is the path to the dark side"... I'm not sure about the drive-way to the dark side though...

Perhaps installing 150W lightsabers will help.

If you are wanting to light the driveway for a considerable length of time, you could look at sodium lighting. No good for on-off situations, but pretty cost effective if you are leaving it on.
