I need one to use with my Surface Pro3.
Not even clicked on anything in the way of research yet, but do they all do the same job equally?

Make sure it supports SDHC and SDXC, otherwise it won't work with newer, larger capacity cards.
Some may be a bit faster than others for reading/writing. If it has USB 3.0 that should allow faster transfer, if your computer has a USB 3.0 socket. Though its probably limited by the card speed anyway.
Other than that, all much the same.

There are (or were) very slow ones out there (probably USB I/II), so make sure it's USB III. The decent ones have a speed figure in the spec.
