I’m done with these stupid roadie Presta valves we’ve been using for the last 15 years and want to move to something better. All my bikes up to about 2009 were Schraeder equipped, I never had a valve break, never had one gunk up despite using slime filled DH tubes and never, ever had a valve fail to open through corrosion.

So what should I look at, schwalbe clik look fragile, the e13 system looks like a presta stem with a Schraeder adapter bunged onto it.z What else is there? I’ve no qualms in taking the drill to all the rims on our bikes.

Clik valves aren't fragile IME, though the pump head adaptors are a little… inelegant. You should be able to give them a try by swapping the Presta valve cores out.  Long discussion here:

Fan of the Clik valves here too. I don't think the pump head is partially fragile because it needs no force to attach or remove, so doesn't need to be made from heavy duty materials.

I've been using these for a couple of years on the ebike, no problems so far

MucOff do Schraeder I think. The only problem I found is that the shut off valve operates in the opposite way to every other valve and I couldn’t adjust my brain to it!

I want to do this but I've got a nice pressure gauge the wife bought me that only fits prestas. 🤔

I've been using the Clik valves (core replacements in Peaty's+Stans Presta valves) for the last 6 months.

Very happy with them. I've only had to top up the air a couple of times, and the flow is so much better I thought my track pump wasn't working for the first few strokes

I quite like this one, it's got some sentimental value and works pretty well.  I'm not sure it's ever correct but it doesn't have too many buttons and seems to be pretty consistent at least.

I got 2 pairs for pennies off of AliExpress and was going to use them in DT XM481, but tbh the rim isn't wide enough where the valve pops out.

I then got 2 pairs of Fillmore's from Stif. Brilliant for £15 a pair. Wouldn't pay RRP, though.

I'm a fan of the Muc-Off Big Bore valves (I use the Lite version which is for presta pump heads, the Hybrid version is for Schraeder). Once you've been an idiot a couple of times and forgotten to close the valve before removing the pump head you soon get used to it and they just work really well.

I was going to get Filmore valves but then Josh @ Silca reckoned they can gunk up and don't recommend using them (at least with their sealant).

Not sure how well the valve switch on the Big Bore's will fair over time but haven't had an issues so far after several months (and a few wet and muddy rides).

I've got a couple of pairs of the Joe's ones which are cheap and work fine, but they're too short for some rims. The Nutrak ones are longer but more expensive. I've got one in an unbranded carbon rim I drilled out, because I like to live on the edge.

Reserve Fillmores have been very good for me over the past 12 months or so. No gunking up (with Stans) - no need to use my airshot when mounting Conti 5000s - which always used to be a valve out, airshot job. Full price is a but steep, but have frequently seen them heavily reduced.
