Who thought that was a good idea. August Schrader apparently.
Bought myself a new battery powered air inflator, for vans and bikes and pushchairs and other inflatable toys.
Its got a nice fitted brass Shrader head on it, which come straight out of the hose. Bit of a faff on prams and kids bikes, and MY bikes run Presta valves, obviously.

Thought i was being clever when i bought the upgrade kit for the ToPeak pump that allows you to upgrade your regular track pump to a nicer chuck.
Went with the right angled one that fits both valves with not modification, its pretty smart:

I took a bit of a punt, i knew Schrader was a bit of a funny size, but None of the provided fittings are the same 7.747 mm thread with a 0.7938 mm pitch.
Cant find an adaptor to convert it though!
The Smart head kit comes with a barb for cutting the head off the inflator, but that seems a bit aggressive on a 120 quid tool.
Equally, a barbed fitting for a schrader valve is like hens teeth, apparently. (ie, cut the bottom end off the smartchuck and be able to chuck it up into the unmodified inflator.)
Thats all really. Project "fancy inflator" updates later on.
What?
I've read that twice now and I'm still none the wiser as to what you're actually referring to at any point.
And schraeder isn't a "funny size", the diameter and pitch are consistent, I've never had an issue either clamping or screwing onto one.
Agree with squirrelking
Sounds like you're trying to attach the topeak hose to the Dewalt Schrader adapter?
Why?
Send both back and just buy a decent track pump?
Some of those? I use them with my Argos/Guild cordless inflator if not using a track pump. The De Walt jobbie seems OTT when my guild one does the job for both van and bike tyres.

Yes, but that is how you are supposed to fit it - cut off your existing pump head and fit the Topeak one onto the hose. It seems that you are refusing to do that, and are then disappointed that you didn't buy a new head that screwed directly into a Schrader adapter. If that's what you wanted, then spending the £1.37 as recommended by Johnnystorm would have been a better bet.
I upgraded my Makita in a very similar way and hit your exact problem. The way that I solved it was by swapping the crimped adaptor from the old hose to the new one. Instructions below.

Listen, it's easy, you just need to read between the lines....
Some German fella called Schrader and been pumping his van which has now spourned a pushchair.
Keep up!
