They're taking the piss surely ?
And no use to me btw........if someone can't figure out that I'm pulling their plonka, then it's too bad, as far as I'm concerned.

But the whole point of sarcasm is that only people that really think about what you're saying realise you're being sarcastic. It's a bit like using smiles, (you'll note I don't) it shows you think your reader is too thick to work out that you're being humourous, sarky, ironic, mocking or whatever. Credit your readers with the ability to think, unless of course they're from over the pond.
