What's the cheapest/best value 'watch' that will record HR and GPS location for running (I guess pace might be useful too).
Not for me, birthday present for my younger brother who's recently taken up running and despite having exactly the same attitude to cake and 'training' as me just ran 10k in an hour (on a route I'd think was hilly on a bike!) as he got bored, so figure he might actually be good at this and it seems to be helping with his 'issues' so looking to get him something to encourage him to keep it up (not being pushy, he suggested it after seeing my £16 GPS logger I use for strava).
I have got a Garmin 110 - really like it - very simple to use - dist, heart, pace, ascent cost me about £120.
Nice as a normal watch not too big or technical looking
If he could get away without the hrm, the new Garmin Foreunner 100 looks funky!
Just had a coffee/screen interface moment, I was expecting them to start around half that, bryton rider20/garmin 200 kinda money! Then again neither of those come with HRM's.
Hmmm, might just get him a GPS logger and cheep HRM unless there are any realistically priced HRM/GPS watches, anything on dealextream or ebay that anyone knows of?
