Unfortunatly I only saw a few minutes that was uninspiring to say the least.

Put away a weak side well. wow.

still nothing from england to be afraid of.

I'm hearing on twitter that it was Romania B. Obviously Scotland played the A side.

They're working more as a unit TJ, the backs and the forwards working together, getting the basics right. Hopefully Johnson should be happy with the discipline. ๐Ÿ˜›

A weak side that ran 24 points past the stunning Scotland eh TJ?

A weak side that Scotland could only manage 34 points against TJ?

Lets see how Scotlands 2yrs of preparation for Argentina pan out shall we?

Good run out for us...But still making basic errors and giving far too many penalties away...We cannot carry on doing this with (well once we've played Scotland ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) the decent sides coming up

Cant argue with that but will it work when they come up against a team like Scotland who 1. have a good defensive alignment and 2. Can make first up tackles.

I also think the backrow will struggle against better opposition. Moody is not a groundhog like Pockock, Brossow or even Warburton he's never been a player I have been impressed with his job seems to be run round like a headless chicken and get injured a lot. Will he last the pace of a full blooded game. Croft is quality but isnt too hot on the floor either and with The Hask at 8 who makes the hard yards in close to ruck and maul, 3 good players but lack balance.
Then of course we have Tindall who single handedly ruins the england backline and I'm not quite sure if they expect that using a backrow at first reciever to push the backline wider and create overlaps will fool any decent side.

Indeed we will Muddydwarf. I think Argentina look a tougher prospect than England. Surely they will play Flood tho.

Scotland used the Romanina game as a warm up and a run out.

dont think the sides were the same were they? Scotland are pretty poor anyway so I dont think it says much.

As AA said - Scotland back row are quicker and better than the England one - and the tight 5 is an interesting match up - Scotland better in the loose, England in the scrum.

Outside backs the English are much better - but Scotland are welldrilled and willnot leave gaps - and will drive England back if / whenthey continue to get slow ball.

Looking forward to it - but might well be watching from behind thed sofa

I'm just laughing at TJ really, England finally look like a team and TJ still can't bring himself to admit they played well. I love it!

muddydwarf, playing well against what is pretty much the Romainian second 15 doesnt prove anything, England ran riot and scored tries, when did they last do that against quality opposition, or even the likes of Wales or Scotland? Good performance you can only beat those in front of you but can they do that against a good team. If I supported England I wouldnt be too sure. Why did they play an open running game today if their gameplan is to stick it up the jumper against anyone good? I dont think they are being coached very well to be honest.

All TJ has said is he still thinks Scotland have a chance against them and they have. If they beat Argentina they will be really up for the England game and full of confidence. Two 50:50 games for scotland IMO.

I think I have to agree with TJ here, based on the final five minutes I have to say it was a lacklustre 80. ๐Ÿ˜€

So - an STW rugby team.

Muddydwarf must be a prop surely. Elfin at scrum half as he has all the prerequisites - stroppy shortarse ๐Ÿ™‚

I will play outside centre - I have a really good sidestep and swerve. No fake tan tho.

Tootall must be one of the locks,

who else?

I agree in part A-A, it's just the grudging, growling, denial from TJ that England can do anything right makes me giggle!

It will be a good game next week, Scotland aren't a bad team in parts but i still think England will be too much for them. England aren't going to win the WC, i can't see them getting past the semi's to be honest and the quarters may well prove too much.

TJ is English isnt he? wtf goes on inside that kid's head?

I havent watched any of this RWC at all yet. Think you have to turn up for All Blacks against Le Frogs. I shouldnt support the French as I work for a French bank and they will be unbearable but hey ho.

As a neutral in this, I really don't care who wins, I'd just like to see some good, running*, rugby.

*running 'cos in TJ's, topic changing, pick your position team I'd have to be a winger mainly based on it being my old position.
