The killer there is denying England a BP.

Great finish by Adams

AA - do you mean the decisions? Wales far the better team in 2nd half.

Can’t argue with that tbh. Kick, kick, Kick. Got to carry too.

Will Wales get back up for Ireland?

Never in doubt.

Erm....

Curry deserves MOTM for me, he was epic.

However, patient, measured play from Wales. What a test match!

No I just think England had enough to win but kept doing the same thing that didnt work.

That was a fair old arm wrestle. England needed to change it up a bit more from the kicking to win that. Wales good for the win and the 16th man in Cardiff certainly helps.

Congratulations to Wales (through gritted teeth)....

Well, Jiffy was all over Curry as MOM until Wales were in the lead.  He’s such a prick.

Congrats to Wales, very well played.

That was an epic victory. To come back against a rampant England bit by bit, turn the screw and disrupt their game plan. What a way to win such an important match, what a fantastic confidence boost. And it's England at home! (From a rivalry perspective not an anti-English one!)

How did Wales get the penalty at the scrum on that last try? (Which was very well taken btw).
Wales weren't driving straight at all and loose head popped up

Ultimately Wales deserved the win, but ref was pretty one way today.

Beating us in a year ending in 9 continues...

Need Ireland to do us a favour now.

Maybe that fallow week did stall our momentum. Fair play to Wales though.

2 very strong teams - no shame in losing to Wales in Cardiff.

Predictions at the start were no Grand Slam this year - I’ll still go with that - Ireland will be desperate next week.

PS - no point analysing Peyper decisions - he was awful to both sides.

I think that's what Farrell asked the ref too; the ref seemed to suggest Wales were going forward...

Don't England have two more bonus points than Wales though? Surely if Wales lose to Ireland it's still going to be England's championship?

Guscott is a weapons grade bell end too. For the last two weeks he was full of praise for England and now he’s purring over Wales and it’s a massive set back for England etc.

I think some of the refereeing was poor. I don't think it was one-sided, more that Wales played the ref better.

Why is Biggar not your starting 10? He changed your whole shape for me.

Molgrips - Correct. Wales not managing a BP v Italy could bite them.

Oh **** off Guscott. FFS the mans the reason I played 13, I’m losing my mojo with him for sure.   It’s not the end of the World for England nor the World Cup for Wales.

I have to admit I was disappointed with England tactics today. I was hoping England kicked in response to space last week, whereas today it just seemed aimless.

Winning bp against Scotland, losing bp against Ireland and it could come down to points difference?

You’d expect England to get a BP v Italy. If they do a losing BP against Ireland won’t help.

Because Wales didn't play very well the first two games of the 6N so neither anscombe or biggar staked a claim. Both played better today and Biggar was a game changer. Best I've seen him play for a while

Thought England kicked too early in the 2nd half. In the previous games they attacked first to draw at least one backfield defender up to the line but not today. I also thought it odd that Wales's game plan seemed to be designed for Biggar from the beginning but they didn't start with him. Both teams are defending well, but will have to do more joined up thinking to win a world cup.

I don’t think they needed to play the ref - they just needed to point the headless chicken way Sinckler played. He should have been carded in the first minute of the second half, for taking out AWJ. (From behind, off the ball..)

Gatland for his faults is very loyal to players, you have to get dropped from his teams and Anscombe has done alright. He is also much more of an attacking threat and I think he expects that to be important in Japan.

A couple of the best players in the team missing, combined with a poor display away from home will bring a display like that. Not the end of the world.

Never a truer word spoken. What a ****.

Stoked on the result though, well worth getting up at 530am for.

I'm not a rugby expert - played at school, got too small, lost interest, just back recently and the technical tactics are still being learned.

What went wrong then - clearly the tactic of kicking that worked so well in R1 and R2 didn't work here, but then why did they persist - they barely hit the grass at all this week, and the high ball was just being run back over and over.

Who makes that call - after 50 mins it was clear that it wasn't going well, does Farrell make the call on the pitch or is it EJ's way or not at all? Wales played better than France or Ireland, but I still can't work out if they're better than England because England seemed to hobble themselves tactically - as others have said it was as much Gatland vs Jones as Wales vs England....and it wasn't even Gatland's tactics that were great, he just played players who know what they're doing at 11/14/15 and let England just play into their hands

I agree there is no point trying to pick up Peyper’s refereeing with regards to any team getting an advantage. He is a proper pain in the arse, though, when it comes to be pernickety and arbitrary, especially around the set piece.

Referees like him make for a ‘technical scrummager’s’ wet dream. I don’t remember a single scrum where one team went forwards whilst the other went back. There was plenty of popping up, hingeing and dropping, though.

But it evened itself out over 80 minutes, so no complaint about the result.

It’s amazing how fickle English fans are; lots are going off at the deep end, it’s all doom and gloom, Sinkler should never play again...

Yes, he got sucked into some silly shit today but overall he’s had a good tournament so far. He’s scrimped really well (not usually one of his strengths), has shown up well in the loose and set up one of Slade’s tries with some soft hands and vision (for a fat lad).

It is a set back, but we have two hole games now and we need to pick ourselves up. The Lawes injury is a blow because he’s had a good tournament.

Isn't it the case that they swap them as a tactical choice?

Who makes that call – after 50 mins it was clear that it wasn’t going well, does Farrell make the call on the pitch or is it EJ’s way or not at all?

I'm far from an expert but it seems to me that's how Wales have won a fair few matches - by making decisions re game plan on the field. WG has been coaching them for years to be smart. England seem all full of fire and pace but I think they just do what EJ tells them.

He didn’t get sucked it anything - he created it.
