Firstly, from a Scotland fan, we’ll played Ireland. The better side, by some way, won. And good luck in the Grand Slam game next week.
Secondly I thought Wayne Barnes deserves a lot of credit. Got pretty much everything right, didn’t go running to that silly TMO thing every few minutes, explained his decisions well and talked calmly but firmly to the players, calling them by their Christian names and treating them like adults. To which the players seemed to respond well.
And finally Scotland. Not a bad game by any means and had a few key moments in the first half gone the other way it may well have been a different game. While this fast tempo game is great I can’t help thinking they are maybe being a bit too ambitious at times. The interception try and the time on the right wing early second half. Both instances where they went for wild passes where the simpler one would have been better. But still, good times to be a Scotland fan. Pleased to see Kinghorn have a good game too. He’s been excellent for Edinburgh this season.
Overall though well done Ireland.

Quite a good game for the neutral to watch. Especially the first half when Scotland were in it for a wee while. Ireland comfortable throughout though really and them winning never looked in doubt.

Not needing the TMO every 2 minutes was refreshing. Excellent match and Ireland have some fine younger players in their squad + a never ending supply of flankers.

One of the backs really has to straighten up the running lines. Only Te’o is doing that, and May in open play a bit. Especially as the French get tired, pick a forward and run at the inside shoulder. England are offering more than France, but not by much.

We’ve been poor this year and have failed to address the issues atvtye breakdown or generating go forward without Billy.

Bizarrely at this point England could still technically win the title or get the wooden spoon. Both unlikely mind you.

Good performance from Ireland, not many mistakes and didn't let the Scottish forwards play the way they did against England. Despite Scotland making the wrong choices and throwing shitty passes when the score was on, I have a feeling Ireland probably would of edged that regardless. Well done.

what I don’t understand however is why England appear to be worse than they were 6months ago, and why we insist on playing 6’s and 7sevens out of position. It simply doesn’t make sense.
what does though is that the entire AP has decided you can’t ruck and can’t get turnovers. This appears to be reflected in the national side. The issue is, no one appeared to tell the rest of the nations!
