I dinnae care really.
pfffffff.
Henson not going to Aus with wales. Shame imagine the potential for the ice cube carnage on a flight that long!!!
I don't think that exactly comes under the heading of news does it?Henson not going to Aus with wales
I'm told Llansawel 2nds are short of an inside center, so there's hope yet.
Given the fact wales will potentially be without Roberts, Davies and Scott Williams his ice cube antics are looking like an even bigger cock up. I wouldnt be suprised to see him turn up at London Welsh if they get promoted.

That's a big IF!
LW have done an amazing job the last few yrs, come back from near collapse and disintegration to being one step away from the top table. Hope they do it TBH. Plus, it would mean Falcons taking a hit which would put a sly smile on this Sale Fan's face..
Remember Albania! ๐

Quite a few teams have done this (Bristol included)
Hope they do it TBH
I bloody well don't. Bristol missed out last year having won the league and now face doing the same again due to a stupid play off process.
Brizzol have been good, but i will always want to see a new team in the Prem. Exeter have been a revelation and are here to stay i reckon. Sale narrowly avoided the drop a few times in the last 5yrs but even i would say if you're not good enough..
Mind you, i'd like to see Doncaster come through, if Falcons go down Sale will be the only Northern club in the Prem and add fuel to the idea that RU/RL is a North/South thing when there are more RU clubs in the North of England than RL clubs.
Not sure if this is the best place to post this but hey, we've only got two rugby threads.
Just seen the officials for the two semi-finals in the Pro 12 this weekend:
Leinster vs Wariors
Referee: George Clancy (IRFU, 47th competition game)
Assistant Referees: John Lacey, Leo Colgan (both IRFU)
Citing Commissioner: Tom McCormack (IRFU)
TMO: Marshall Kilgore (IRFU)
Ospreys vs Munster
Referee: Alain Rolland (IRFU, 52nd competition game)
Assistant Referees: Nigel Owens (WRU), Marius Mitrea (FIR)
Citing Commissioner: Gwyn Bowden (WRU)
TMO: Nigel Whitehouse (WRU)
Erm, neutrality?
I laughed when i read clancy then i looked down!!
Nige is doing the heinekin final i see.
I am going to see the O's tonight in the vacuum of atmosphere that is te Liberty, not expecting a good result.
In a similar vein Hamilton has recieved a fairly harsh ban compared to some recently handed out.
Maybe its just to ensure that the pro 12 final has 2 irish teams as well as the heineken! ๐
SUFTUM
You wouldn't think that the strongest side in Europe playing at home would need much help.
Seems a pretty stupid move on the league organisers part since they're leaving yourself wide open for accusations of bias. Or maybe they're expecting Glasgow to get such a thrashing no one will notice. Let's hope the game doesn't come down to a marginal penalty.
I think there has been a lot of poor ref'ing throughout this season i don't expect it to change in the last few games neutral ref or not.
Inconsistency during a match and each refs interpretation of the laws being completely different has really p1ssed me off this season. On occasion i do not think players have helped either a bit of footballist p1sh creeping in this season which needs stopped before it gets any worse.
EDIT: I would like to see Glasgow pull off a shock but not sure it will happen.
Not really worth 100 days imo.
Thought it was 7 weeks each.
Anyway, Paice went looking for trouble after they'd been yellowed.
At least Paice came off worse.
Check 12 secs in to see what started it.
You think that was harsh? I thought pretty low considering its the end of the season and they were scraping after being given a yellow.
this is how to sort out the soccerisms, I luvs nige xxx
He was between Hamilton and a loose ball making no attempt to gather it. Seems fair enough to me. Definitely not enough reason to go swinging for him at the next break down. And absolutely no reason to get gobby and grab him as they were going off.
I agree!
He was between Hamilton and a loose ball making no attempt to gather it. Seems fair enough to me.
Are you drunk its not american football, Paice was well within his rights to stand whereever he chooses. Doesnt excuse anything subsequent but its certainly a pen against Hamilton.
I don't think wandering around in front of one of your players as he tries to gather a loose ball is allowed.
he wasnt he never changed his line, he's able to stand whereever he chooses or indeed run in any direction he chooses as there's no offisde line. Hamilton took him out off the ball. In fact if you look Paice isnt even between Hamilton and the ball.
From this
I would say that Paice was stopping Hamilton from tackling the ball carrier whether it was intentional or not. Like I said, he wasn't making any effort to gather the ball but ended up right in front of the player trying to gather the ball.10.1(b) Running in front of a ball carrier. A player must not intentionally move or stand in front of a team-mate carrying the ball thereby preventing opponents from tackling the current ball carrier or the opportunity to tackle potential ball carriers when they gain possession.
so was the ball gathered or not? make you mind up.
None of which means you can take people out from behind when they havent got the ball, its a cheap shot pure and simple.
Run the tape until the penalty was given.
Irish not popular down at Glaws. Not the best idea for some scrappy hooker to take on Big Jim, and he certainly had bambie legs when he went off. Nicely takes the attention away from another dismal loss, mind.
Paice should have done this
Paice trying to clear hamilton off a ball which wasn't dead. He may be entitled to be there but he's not allowed to take Hamilton out of play. Paice in the wrong, he was always going to get one for that. He then starts gobbing off and pushing hamilton as they're walking and gets another (well deserved) pasting (geddit?).
Anyone know why Paices ban doesn't start until August?
That's pretty ****ing disgusting play from Henson there. Completely unprovoked as far as I can tell. No surprise really.
Paice trying to clear hamilton off a ball which wasn't dead.
It starts before that with Hamilton taking Paice out off the ball at 12 seconds as someone said above. Both ****s but it was Hamilton that started it off.
Oh, he does give him a shove doesn't he?
There's ways to do things though aint there? As Henson shows and you point out; there's no need to be brainless and start a great big punch up (and end up with a 7 week ban).
so was the ball gathered or not? make you mind up
The law says
so I don't think it makes a difference if he had gathered the ball or not. The fact is he was trying to.or the opportunity to tackle potential ball carriers when they gain possession.
As far as pushing a player who is blocking you goes I don't know. I can't find the section to see what it says. I think you're allowed to clear a player who obstructing you out of the way. Can duckman help (you referee don't you)?
Hamilton was probably excessive in the way he did it though.
As Henson shows and you point out; there's no need to be brainless and start a great big punch up (and end up with a 7 week ban).
I think our Gav got about 14 weeks, but he refused to say sorry which the citing board dont like, thank god he didnt eat a biscuit either!
BruceWee, if you look at the video, Hamilton wasnt moving in the direction of the bloke with the ball, there was certainly no blocking from Paice. Paice didnt change direction, didnt look over his shoulder and didnt do anything wrong. Its as clear cut a cheap shot by Hamilton as you will see.
Its as clear cut a cheap shot by Hamilton as you will see.
Well, I would call it a split second camera shot from a poor angle. All you can see is Hamilton's arms. From that I don't think anyone can decide whether it was blocking or not.
Hey, you could be 100% correct. I just don't think it's as clear cut as you're saying and from where I'm sitting it looks like blocking.
No harm in disagreeing.
A `get out of my way' push is a cheap shot? This isn't footy you know. ๐
And absolutely no reason to get gobby and grab him as they were going off.
That's the bit I agreed with!
Taking player out, who has their back to you is a cheapshot end of.
Bruce you are either Jims mum or a one eyed tractor boy.

not true you can see at least some of jim from the first ruck where he is acting as a guard. He was never going to tackle the bloke getting the ball whether Paice was there or not.
Ah come on now AA, we went down like a sack of spuds after a gentle push in the back as he was in the way of Big Jim's running line which at 6ft whatever and 18 stone something is difficult to stop.
Yeah right scamper are you a tractor boy too!!!! ๐
Thing is if going to try and get the opposition going like that you need to be smart enough to take whats coming and not punch back. Let them get the yellow. Hamilton lost it and paid the price.
Thanks for putting the vid of Gavin destroying that Argy prop. The fact that we was going to get pummeled by a really cheap shot seems to go by a lot of people. How he knew it was going to happen is amazing some kind of 6th sense. I think things started going wrong for him after this.
Wasnt it after coming back from that ban followed by an injury that he had that mare at Lansdown coming on early to replace Steven Jones? Everything is Scott Johnsons fault if you go back far enough!!
Hamilton is banned until August 19th (according to the times)If somebody blocks you on purpose (without seeing the video again) then they are obstructing you and should be pinged. However IMO Hamilton starts it with the shove, penalty. Pierce then runs after him and starts swinging,a mile offside (which will get you noticed. ๐ )which is rather a disproportionate reaction...And one that REALLY didn't end well for him, either time he tried it. He is lucky the Oirish waterboy got between him and Hamilton or it might be a murder charge. Along with 3rd Dan Ally Strock, Glaws have a couple of properly handy men there.

AWJ is going to slap that munster 8 soon.
